I Roger Purcey of the Parish of Saint Mary Newington Butts in the County of Surry Clothyer do make my last Will and Testament in manner and form following – that is to say first I give my body to the ground to be decently buried at the discretion of my Executrix hereinafter named. I give to my kinsman Bartholemew Roberts the son of Bartholemew and Mary Roberts Sialmaker all my free estate being three houses situate in Lambeth Marsh in the Parish of St Mary Lambeth in the County of Surry.
Item I give to Ann Howells a suit of mourning said as my said wife Hannah shall think proper. The rest and residue of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever (after my debts and ffuneral expenses are paid) I give and bequeath unto my dear and loving wife Hannah and do make and ordain constitute and appoint the said Hannah sole executrix kof this my last Will and Testament and do hereby revoke all my former Wills by me made.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this seventeenth day of ffebruary in the year of our Lord one thousand Seven hundred forty two/three
