Actually, I think this should be Purssey’s Cottage. But which one owned this substantial property?
In a document listing the 1814 poor rates, Richard is listed as occupying Pursey’s Farm – as well as one called Tuckers. [This looks to be Richard b 1778, son of William and Joan Thomas. He married Harriet Fraunceis Griffith in September 1808.]
James is down as occupying a considerable number of parcels of land, including the farms Late James and Whitemoor. [This could be James who was married to Constance Poole.]
